COVERED BRIDGES

Did you know that a native Montgomerian, who was raised, attended school, and lived on West Hill, was a Chief Justice of the VT Supreme Court?   We did, but didn't know any of the details of his life, and so began a search that then led to the creation of this page.

It's an attempt to document those born in, or who've adopted, our Town, and who've been first and/or had a substantial influence on the civic life or reputation of Montgomery, Vermont, and the world.  It is not exhaustive so please do not take offense if someone you feel should be included isn't here.  We welcome your ideas on others alive during the time period we should include and why!
