Unapproved Minutes of Meeting
August 10, 2006
THESE ARE THE UNOFFICIAL MINUTES UNTIL APPROVED BY THE BOARD.

Present were Scott, Bill B., Bill McG., Sabra, Parma, and Sally as Board members.
Guests were James Ouellette, Suzanne Dollois, and Jade Thacker.

The Minutes of the last meeting were accepted as written.

The Treasurer's report showed the balances in each account -

Checking - $3,699.50,
Hays CD - $6,313.36
Capital Improvements CD - $1,042.46
Anonymous Donor CD - $5,016.20
Heaton House Mortgage - $27,465.55

The Minutes of the annual meeting were tabled until the next annual meeting.

James O. gave a brief report on the painting of the building. There are several small jobs left which will take about two weeks. The Board voted to have the trim around the windows painted green. James will return for a Fall meeting to discuss available grants.

Suzanne and Jade were very enthusiastic about the classes which they have conducted at the Rec. Center. They have had classes on photography, story telling, art work and are finishing their Art Farm project on Hill West with a nature walk.

OLD BUSINESS

The painted covered bridges have bids for an estimated total of $1,455. The final raffle will take place on Saturday, August 26, 4 PM during the Art Show. Parma will have note cards on sale also. The wine and cheese viewing will take place August 25.

Bill B. discussed the archives and mentioned some damage that has been done. He is negotiating for a local person to be in charge. Bob Scales is investigating a computer program so that all the records may be filed.

A change in the By-Laws was suggested, in the hope that new members to the Board would be attracted. No action was taken.

The Board voted to have Bill McG., Parma and Sabra on a committee to investigate Grants from private organizations and present their findings at the October meeting.
